MORE: SN’s final college football rankings of 2019So what do the top 25 rankings look like? No. 2 Clemson, No. 3 Ohio State, No. 4 Georgia and No. 5 Oregon round out the top five. Those teams are followed by Oklahoma and Florida, which split as the Nos. 6 and 7 teams in the polls. No. 8 Alabama, No. 9 Penn State and No. 10 Minnesota round out the final top 10.In all, the Big Ten finished with a conference-high six teams in the polls, followed by the SEC (five), Pac-12 (two), and independents (one). The Big 12 finished with three teams in the AP Top 25, and two in the Coaches Poll. The ACC finished with one team ranked by the AP, and two by the Coaches. Group of 5 teams collectively represented seven of the final ranked teams. The only major difference between the polls was the No. 25 team: Texas in the AP Top 25 and Virginia in the Coaches Poll. LSU and Clemson concluded the 2019 College Football Playoff on Monday, with LSU scoring a convincing 42-25 win to finish as the top team in college football.Of course, the crowning of LSU as the top team in the country is merely a formality at this point; the Tigers left no doubt after beating seven teams ranked in the final AP Top 25 (all of which were ranked in the top 10 at game time). Still, it’s worth seeing where teams ranked after the final whistle is blown.
