The 2nd-ranked Lions are 2-0 after a 35-6 win at Waverly-Shell Rock last week. Coach Jared DeVries says the growth of the line has helped on offense.DeVries expects the rivalry with the Cardinals to continue to provide a tough game tonight.Garner-Hayfield-Ventura is 1-1 under coach Darrell Schumacher, who returns to be the head coach of the program after leading the Cardinals from 1984-1995. Cleveland was idle Thursday. The Twins lost three games off their lead in the last five days. And the Twins lost yet another player to injury, utility infielder Ehire Adrianza, who strained his right oblique swinging at a pitch in the second with two on. Adrianza was hurting so badly that manager Rocco Baldelli told him to bunt the runners along, which he did.
